The Story

The Asociacion de Cafeteros Nasawe'sx fi'zñi de Gaitania Tolima is located in Colombia's Department of Tolima, an origin where some of the very top coffees derive.

This coffee goes through the traditional washed fermentation, sitting in tanks under water for 16-18 hours before the mucilage is scrubbed away in washing channels. The washed coffee is then sun-dried on patios.

Once the coffee is dried, bagged, and rested, it is exported by our friends at Granja La Esperanza with a USDA Organic Certification.

Coffee Notes

This light-medium roasted coffee features a sweet fig and honey aroma. When brewed it has notes of hazelnut, apple, and subtle vanilla. It’s body is round with a raisin sweetness and light acidity, like a Golden Delicious apple. A taste of baked apple lingers in the finish.
